Absolutely spectacular buffet with fine architectural elements of the Henry II style. The upper cabinet door has double fluted columns and lovely detailed carved overflowing urn centered in the cabinet. Chamfered glass panels with intricate arches above. The three upper cabinet open to reveal one center shelf. Elegant tapered and carved columns show off the bottom, register with bold tripled molding. The bottom cabinets are heavily carved with hunt scenes depicting birds and open for adequate storage space. Inspired work by the magnificent French woodworkers. This piece is grand and carved from top to bottom in time honored French walnut wood. Original locks and keys. Dating to the late 1800's.
