This American Victorian architectural burled walnut bed has a matching dresser which is designed with high elements adapted from those of the Renaissance architecture. This towering headboard has a semicircular boldly molded arch surmounting a heavy burled walnut pediment.With beveled edges all around the urn shaped finials are truly amazing. The Victorian bed and dresser are a true antique dating from the 1850's to the 1870's. The footboard has central continuous arched flanked by curves and scrolled carvings matching the headboard. Mortise and tenon joints hold the headboard and footboard in place connected by side rails which are identical to the bed. The beautiful dresser as a white marble top and many drawers and cabinet space for adequate storage. Extremely detailed Renaissance medallion designs undergo this American masterpiece. Nothing enhances the dresser appearance so much as the handles which consists of brass. This beautiful dresser is graced by a large rectangular mirror which measures 50 1/4" tall and 20 1/4" wide.
